LinkedIn is a social networking tool catered towards business entirely. It was first introduced in Dec 2002 and founded in May 2002. Its main use is professional networking. As of April LinkedIn had more than 65 million registered users, spanning more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, it is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish
The membership grows by a new member approximately every second. About half of the members are in the United States and 11 million are from Europe. With 3 million users, India is the fastest-growing country as of 2009. The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. The people in the list are called Connections who are users known through other users. Users can invite anyone to become a connection which proves to be a very useful networking tool.
LinkedIn is a tool that is very useful in networking because of its simple to use commands and ease of communications. It is a simple way to get in touch with any kind of business person you can imagine.

Twitter Review

Twitter
Twitter is a large part of today’s online society. It provides connection as well as communication to countless amounts of people throughout the world. Like any current communication technology, it can be misused and lead to problems among users.
Twitter is a very good way of sending messages to mass amounts of people an example being an office manager sending out a mass message for everyone in the office to see without the struggle of sending out mass email. Also an office manager can be “followed” by co workers meaning they can respond to his or her posts without ever leaving there twitter page
A problem that could arise from using twitter in a professional setting would be the posting of inappropriate material and spam posts onto the boss’s page.
All and all Twitter is a piece of technology that is beneficial to the work place because of the convenience it provides to working class people.

Powerpoint
The last couple days of powerpoint have made me realize what is important to include in a presentation to make it one that gets my point across while keeping it entertaining to my audience. Some examples that i have learned is that slide transitions and animation are less important than the font and presenting your point clearly.I think I will be doing my presentation on college football
